****Important Update for the 2020 NC Cotton Festival. ****
For twenty one years the Dunn Area Tourism Authority has tried to provide the City of Dunn and surrounding communities with a one day fall event that would bring smiles to their faces, a good variety of entertainment, lots of arts and crafts, great food options, and just an overall good day to spend with family and friends. We’ve had a few obstacles through the years, rain, sleet/snow, and hot temperatures but nothing that could have prepared us for this year’s issues in regards to COVID-19. After a lot of thought, discussions, and prayers, it is a difficult but necessary decision to cancel this year’s NC Cotton Festival. The health and safety of our Citizens has to be our number 1 priority! Thank you to all who have supported us in the past and we look forward to next year’s event.
Held annually in Dunn the first weekend in November. The festival’s goal is to bring recognition to one of North Carolina’s prime agricultural products “cotton,” and through this process attract people to Dunn’s downtown. We have entertainment on 2 stages, food and craft vendors, Kiddie Land for the children, a classic car show sponsored by the Shriner’s, and an Antique Tractor Show sponsored by Quality Equipment! Also we will have cotton gin tours every 30 minutes and you can find FREE tickets for those at our information tent that will be set up during the festival! There’s family fun for all ages with an awesome food court so mark your calendars now and SAVE the Date to join us for the 21st Annual NC Cotton Festival!! Also, Please Note – There is NO Photo Contest this year! Applications are available on July 1st of EVERY year for the festival!
